設計師Leo Mok的前半生過著City life 的都市生活模式，無論 居住或辦公的地方，都位於車水 馬龍的旺區。自從搬往東涌後， 便深深愛上這社區，因為這裡可 看到遼闊的天空、行人路夾道綠 樹林蔭，還有社區內濃濃的人情 味，令他體驗不一樣的寫意生活。
Having grown up in Hong Kong’s bustling urban environment, interior designer Leo Mok fell in love with Tung Chung’s open skies and green pathways, embracing a slower pace of life.
雖然搬進新屋，轉換了生活環境，但 Leo 喜歡 有歷史的東西，家裡的東西不是因應潮流而 生。伴隨他搬遷的除了三隻人見人愛的狗狗外，還有來 自舊居的傢具、裝飾品及藝術擺設，藝術品往往跟隨著 主人，訴說著獨有的故事。Leo 歷年來周遊列國搜購回 來的珍藏品，數目之多，令人目不暇給，他對每件珍藏 的來源及價格也記得一清二楚，往往能夠不假思索地道 出購買時的情景，收藏品價格有貴有平，但紀念價值高 於一切。擺放在櫃上的日本古董香爐壺便擁有數百年歷 史，不但造型充滿滄桑味，最吸引 Leo 竟然是內裡的灰 燼，答案令人意想不到，恍惚每件擺設背後也有一段故 事，很多小擺設對 Leo 來說都是有意思的。
綠意的延伸
身為一位資深的室內設計師，Leo 替不少戶主設計特色 家居，對於自己的家，自由度大，設計領域更廣闊。「我 喜歡家中與大自然連繫，所以選址於此，當初一入屋看 見客廳的長而闊的牆壁，於是想想怎樣善用它，因自己 喜歡藝術，想在牆身繪畫與大自然有關的畫作增添個人 化，將綠意由內延伸至戶外。」Leo 於是搜集植物圖案 的靈感，起初本想自己操刀，後來卻物色到藝術創作室 Tim Studio 的畫師，於是便按 Leo 要求的圖案內容在 現場繪畫植物牆畫，用了兩星期，成就了室內這幅綠田 園，植物型態栩栩如生，為沉悶的牆身注入朝氣，真正 造到內外成一體，延伸視野空間。
靜修室和特色書房
這是三房單位，頭房用作半開放式書房，為了開拓走 廊空間感，Leo 拆去書房牆身，並以一道特色圖案趟 門分隔，橫向的線性圖案有助拉闊視野空間。而另一 間房則用作靜修室及珍藏室，近窗台位置設有供打坐 及瑜珈用的床，而旁邊則建造了一個富有立體感而及 頂的書架，內裡滿載著 Leo 過往生活的足跡，包括兒 時玩意、朋友饋贈的禮物，又或是自己在旅行途中購 買的紀念品，Leo 都珍而重之地收藏好，並清楚每件 物品的擺放位置等等，各項精品、古董擺放整齊。
書架的設計意念源自建築物，每層均有獨特的角度及 設計，有些是開放式層架，有些是有玻璃窗的，形成 虛實交替的景象，體現了自由空間的概念。
主人房佈置簡潔，床尾設有黑玻璃門衣櫃，設備周 全。Leo 很喜歡住在這裡，他形容現在好像過著移民 生活，這裡有很多狗主和親切的鄰居，閒時在公園放 狗、在家中練字、繪畫、過著稱心悠閒的生活，優哉 悠哉。
Fond of historical accents and antiques, Leo Mok didn’t succumb to the usual fashionable accoutrements that dominate today’s trends interior design market when he moved to Tung Chung in 2019. Instead, he chose to bring with him many of the furnishings from his former apartment, including furniture, adornments and an abundance of artistic pieces that continue the narrative of the past.
This passion for history is evident from the first moment you set foot in the home, which is decorated with endless treasures he has collected from his travels around the world over the years. Carefully displaying each piece, whether expensive or cheap, the designer can instantly recall the story behind each item, creating an homage to his life so far. For example, on the desk sits a Japanese incense burner that is hundreds of years old. “The most intriguing element of this antique is the ash inside,” he smiles, clearly demonstrating each piece has its own unique past.
He continues, “I choose this place because I love the connection between the interior and nature. Upon entering this apartment, the first thing that grabbed my attention was the wide, long wall, which made me ponder how to make the best of it. As an art lover, I wanted to portray a natural scene on this wall, echoing the shades of the lush, green surrounds while adding a hint of personality.”
